The Secretary General of the Pitit Desalin party, Moïse Jean Charles, has announced the launch of a movement aimed at removing Prime Minister Ariel Henry from power. This announcement comes after having refrained from commenting on political events in the country for weeks. According to Moise, the movement is scheduled to begin on January 25. Speaking to the press in the gardens of his residence in Baryè Batan (Milot), Moise deplored the government's refusal to set up an electoral council to organize elections in the country, citing the growing insecurity and kidnappings in most of the country's departments, particularly in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area.

The former parliamentarian from the North called for the unconditional departure of Prime Minister Ariel Henry and his cronies on February 7, 2024. He argues that this will alleviate the suffering of the Haitian population and restore peace and tranquility to Haiti. Moïse stressed the need for all sectors of the country to work together to launch this movement against the current government.

Asked about former rebel Guy Philippe's movement promoting revolution in the country, the former mayor of Milot sidestepped the question, inviting all sectors to join forces to force Prime Minister Ariel Henry from power on February 7.
